What actually matters
Advertised battery life assumes a sleeping dog. Under live tracking, every collar here lost 30-60% of its claimed runtime. Refresh rate matters more than raw accuracy: a collar that pings every 60 seconds is useless when a dog is sprinting. Check strap hardware too — two of the five units we tested worked loose within a fortnight on a heavy puller.
